The 2010 PAI Directory provides a clear concise overview of the Government and a changing public service. The directory is an ideal point of reference for public sector professionals, the private sector and ordinary citizens alike. The directory details the roles and functions of each government department. The Guide's covenient and compact format contains an unparalleled level of practical information.

Public Affairs Ireland will publish the 3rd edition of its annual directory on Monday February 1st. The Directory provides detailed information and contact details on all the Government departments and over 200 state agencies.

Compiled and updated over 5 months, the Directory is designed for easy use. In one compact, 300 page volume, the Directory brings together information about the members of government and junior ministers, members of the Oireachtas and the opposition spokespersons, civil service departments, and the agencies under their aegis – and is organised by reference to the areas of responsibility of each government department. As the European Union plays a central role in Irish legislation and regulation, the Directory has been expanded this year to include a chapter on the European Union. This chapter aims to give a concise presentation of the European Union’s institutions and agencies relevant to Ireland.

The Directory also has contact details for all Irish embassies and diplomatic representative offices.

Additionally, the Directory includes updates on any changes introduced by Budget 2010, and also the continuing organisational adjustments arising from Budget 2009.

The 2010 Public Affairs Ireland Directory is published on Monday 1 February 2010.
