In the present climate, there are continuing demands for greater value for money and greater transparency in contract awards. All the while, revised EU Directives and increasingly complex procurement procedures mean that public procurement is now governed by a comprehensive regulatory and legal regime. There is now a body of case law reflecting challenges to contract awards by dissatisfied tenderers of which contracting authorities should be aware. It is therefore essential that officials dealing with procurement should know how to stay clear of legal pitfalls.
This seminar will provide appropriate guidance for people who are either new to the procurement function or who perform procurement as part of their broader job description.
